Thomas E. Whitmore

Introduction: Thomas E. (Tom) Whitmore has more than 30 years of multi-dimensional experience, providing business counseling, estate and tax planning and real estate legal services to high net worth individuals and businesses.

In addition to assisting clients with business organizations, commercial transactions, contracts and real estate matters, Mr. Whitmore provides a full range of estate planning services, including preparation of wills and trusts, family limited partnerships, limited liability companies, charitable trusts, life insurance trusts and other estate planning techniques, which are custom tailored to achieve client goals. Mr. Whitmore also handles probate matters, guardianships and conservatorships in a prompt and cost effective manner, utilizing paralegal assistants whenever possible.

Background: Tom Whitmore was educated at Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska, where he graduated cum laude, ranking first academically in his graduating class. During his senior year, he was editor in chief of the Creighton Law Review. He began his career in 1969 as an associate at a prominent Omaha business law firm. He entered corporate practice as senior attorney with a NYSE listed company in 1970, where he gained valuable business and practical experience. He resumed private law practice in 1977, and in 1979 he established his own law firm. Tom concentrates his efforts in three areas: Corporate/commercial law, estate planning and probate, and real estate transactions and financing. Tom is president of the Board of Trustees of Unity Church of Omaha and has been active in a number of community and civic affairs.
